There's an excellent book about the MJT, which I bought, read, and
promptly lost a few years ago. Does anyone know the title offhand? They
have a website, which makes for ...interesting... reading (I like how the
link to each previous page is a Dante-ish "Turn Back"):

http://www.mjt.org/

Incidentally, there's a primo mechanomancer novel that I never thought to
mention: THE CABINET OF CURIOUSITIES, I believe, is the name--it's
another book I've lost. (Assuming I have the name right, Amazon says it's
out of print.) It's a sort of adventure tale set in revolution-era
France, and while it's not supernatural per se (merely Wondrous), it's
all about a couple of clockworkers.

You know, if it wasn't for the fact that my Ellroy collection is intact,
I'd almost wonder if UA was consuming my library during development.

Passion and determination are two very different things. Passion
is born of need; determination is born of greed. Always assign
greater weight to passion, because mysteries are innocent.
