Er,......yeah. I think we should definitely do that paragraph of plot
description beforehand. :-) But keep it basic enough that each chapter
still has freedom.
Using that old Shadowrun novel as a guide, the basic plot was:
"Two Natural Vat execs are competing for a job." Yet the chapters were about
such diverse topics as: A shapeshifter, a Jack the Ripper decker, and Insect
Spirits infiltrating the Lone Star.
And I definitely think we should go with seperate POVs each chapter, although
the same characters can appear throughout the novel if the authors wish.
Whether this is handled as the POVs all coming from different members of some
group (like a TNI hit squad or a cult) or whether it's scattered, varying
from mundanes who get caught up in this UO struggle to the most powerful,
jaded adept, is yet to be determined.
I suppose it would be up to the writer. For instance:
Writer A (he's doing Chapter 1, remember? :-) writes about a cult in his
Chapter. Writer B decides he wants to take one of the cult members and tell
Chapter 2 from his POV. Writer C decides, "Hey, I don't like cults", and
writes of a Nonentity in New York City who's first taste of emotion is
witnessing the torture of a man suspected for killing the Powerful Occult
Underground Figure.
