All this is said with no knowledge of Castle Falkenstein, so any obvious conflicts between my ideas and the book will mean you should ignore me.
Anyway, I'd say dragons are fairly important to the zeitgeist, so should be able to channel and ascend in some archetypes. I remember reading a book a while ago (I think it was called Wyrm, and about computer virii) that dealt with the Dragon archetype in the human mind. Anyway, I'd probably say that dragons have certain archetypes open to them that aren't open to humans (the Sleeping Dragon, perhaps... not neccessarily literally sleeping, but lying in wait) and others that are shared (the Warrior, the Executioner perhaps) and some which are closed off from the dragons (like the Flying Woman probably). Much like the Flying Woman and Masterles Man are dependent on gender, some archetypes could be dependent on species (only species is more different than gender, so the number of shared archetypes is less).
Now, in our entirely human collective unconscious, dragons are not particularly differentiated. One dragon is pretty much the same as another. This would give just one archetype to the dragons, which would make it a bit unfair. However, if the dragons were sentient and all that, then they would influence the zeitgeist themselves. For instance, to a dragon, all humans would seem to be avatars of the Puny Mortal (to faeries, the Foolish Mortal). This is not to say we are, but just that our perceptions and the collective unconscious are affected by our species. So dragons would differentiate between several types of dragons (I have no good idea what these would be, but if I were doing this I'd come up with a few) which would give them many archetypes open (some shared with us, some not, etc).
The same would probably be true of faeries, if they're not some sort of extremely supernatural things (like demons or revenants, which I don't think can be avatars... can they?)
