Hidey-ho.

A friend just loaned me his copy of CASTLE FALKENSTEIN.

Yummy.

Really yummy. 

CF struck a firmer cord with me than Feng Shui did. Indeed, the
only game that's affected me commensurately in UA. So, taking my
cue from the good people who invented the Reese's Peanut Butter
Cup, I wish to get my peanut butter (UA) into their chocolate
(CF).

We can go two ways with this: converting UA to CF, or
versy-vicey. I think I'll go with the former.

The three big UA system/setting things to modify are:
* Magick (hey, they even spell "magick" the same! Conversion
will be a snap!)
* Avatars
* Stress Checks

MAGICK
------

I'd make UA Schools of Magick small Sorcerous Orders with
specialized Lores, and make their charge-gathering tasks fit to
the CF card system. 

UA schools would get a slight bonus in certain specific
ritualized ways of Gathering Power. 
* Cliomancer could treat Unaligned Power as Aligned Power (and
avoid dangerous Harmonics) if in a hsitorical site.
* Dipsomancers could make each card of Unaligned power count
double (for 2 pts instead of 1), if they're drinking at the
time.  (Bigtime Harmonics!)
* Entropomancers may use Club cards from their Fortune Deck as
Unaligned Power, provided they are doing something dangerous.
* Epideromancers get double points from Unravelling themselves.
* Mechanomancers = Engine Magick. 'Nuff said.
* Plutomancers: Warbucks can add the Face Value of their
Exchequer to their Sorcery Face Value when figuring out spell
costs.
* Pornomancers may use Hearts cards from their Fortune Deck as
Unaligned Power, provided they are doing something sexual.

AVATARS
-------
Avatar skills just become another ability. Unlike most skills,
everybody starts at Poor rank in an Avatar: X ability.  Channels
are gained from Ability Ranks of Good, Great, Exceptional. Only
the godwalker can have the highest level (Extraordinary) of
their Avatar ability.

An interesting question is whether or not Dragons & Faerie can
channel an Avatar. (Maybe the Faerie ARE the Invisible Clergy!)
I'd say that if something's mortal, it can channel. Thus,
Dwarves can, but others cannot. Dragons are mortal, but are of a
completely different species. I'd give them their own Clergy...
or maybe not.

STRESS CHECKS
-------------

I'd keep them, but I'd resolve Stress Checks as a form of
"swooning" damage.
