Near my grandparents' town (Hoxie, AR, pop 600+ on a good day) there's the
"town" of Powhatan.  Accent on the second syllable, thus: PowHATin.
Population 51.  Some of them are employed by the local courthouse (a
vaguely historic site, I don't think it's still in use as a courthouse) but
I have no idea what the rest of them do.  Other than drink.  Just goes to
show that people will live wherever there are other people.
