A few questions:
What if the victim wants to research the caster? Will he still receive bits of
information about the caster in the noise? And how obvious is this
information about the caster? Will the victim receive the FBI's files on the
caster? The caster's website? Sites about books written by the caster (eg
 www.deadharlotsofthewesternsky.com, or alt.books.dirkallen, or whatever)?
Or is it more vague, like poetry with clues to the caster's whereabouts?

Anything that directly relates to the caster will come up, but cryptic clues in
poems and stuff sounds like a cool idea. Remember though that links relevant to
the cast will be buried amongst hundreds of other, useless ones. The material
has to be already on the web. Info on stuff related to the caster could come
up.

I'd say that researching the caster would have the same result as researching
any topic, with a web search showing caster-related links at the same rate as
any other search.
