I was figuring the Butterfly thing was more of a metaphor, meaning someone whose tiniest action can indirectly cause massive consequences. Like Lao Tzu's sage who "while he
never does what is great, is able on that account to accomplish the greatest things."
I'd say some of the channels would be manipulating apparently random things (ones that actually aren't random, but are close enough for most purposes, like dice rolling or shuffling cards), obtaining knowledge via flashes of insight (seeing connections that are not imediately obvious), synchronicities similar to whichever schools of magick had that... That sort of thing. I'd write it up more thoroughly, but I'm lazy and tired.
