It seems to me the Mystic Butterfly shouldn't be an Avatar at all. After
all, it doesn't represent a human archetype. It should instead be a
magickal skill along the lines of Second Sight or Weirdness Magnet, after
all, how many channels could you actually attach to this concept?

Problem with that is it makes the IC member untouchable. All other avatars
can get kicked out by a good godwalker, but if you only allow unknowing
avatars, then no one can have skill higher than 50%, meaning no godwalker.
Seems an unfair advantage for whoever ascended first there.

Perhaps some shifting of ideas or looseness of the rules for this avatar is
required (maybe part of the first channel is being able to have skill
higher than 50%, or you can be clued in but are limited or something, I
dunno)
