Hello everyone,

I found the answer. A tutorial is available in the Trnsys folder : C:\TRNSYS18\Documentation\ A7_Type56_CFS_Tutorial.pdf

Best regards

Objet : [TRNSYS-users] CFS model - shading device modelization

Hello everyone,

I'm trying to perform thermal and visual calculation in a simple geometry (at the moment, only one zone with one façade).
My objective is to assess the impact of glazing + shading on the energy efficiency.

I have two problems I guess :

  1. Window 7.8 does not generate a DOE file of the window when a shading is included. Is there a solution to obtain the DOE file ?
  2. To avoid problem 1, I could use the ES-SO database, which gives the spectral data (ISO 52022-3) for different combinations. But, how can I use it as an input for TRNSYS ? For example, I don't have the angle dependency like in the DOE file. Is there a Type that extrapolates the optical and thermal values starting from the normal angle ?

To finish, I bought and installed the CFS add-on, I have the feeling that it could help me to solve my problems. Do you have any paper that presents the add-on and/or gives a tutorial ? I would appreciate it !

Best regards
