Daniel,
Type50 takes a more theoretical approach to the thermal part of the
model. It is actually calculating the collector loss coefficients based
on the physical parameters that you give it. The a0, a1, and a2
coefficients that you have from the manufacturer are similar to the
Fr(ta) and FRUL outputs that the model computes and displays. I would
use whatever physical data you have (number of covers, etc.) and then
tune the values of the collector parameters that you don't have (plate
absorptance, for example) until you get similar thermal performance from
Type50 and from a "standard" quadratic efficiency collector model such
as Type1 that allows you to enter a0, a1, and a2 directly.
