Hi David,

I am using TRNsys 18.

Thank you, Xenia! For the moment, I just re-did it and other changes from an older version of the model I am working on.

May I ask which version of Trnsys you are both using?

Hi Enxhi,

I had the same problem, additionally Trnsys started crashing when I tried to access the inner macro.

I fixed it with an ungly workaround: I exploded the outer macro, the inner macro (still invisible and inaccessible) then stayed in its original place. I deleted the connections and saved the outer macro without the inner one. I assumed you just can’t nest macros. It worked for me but if you didn’t save the inner macro you lose its content that way.

If you find a better solution, I’d be interested 😊

Best,

Xenia

No, they don’t. I save the project frequently and I may have saved it just before I noticed the problem.

Best regards,

Enxhi

I have not run into this with macros but from time to time it happens with components that have a plugin. If you close the project and reopen it do the icons reappear?

kind regards,

 David

Hello,

I am creating macro components within the macro in TRNsys, and for the first time, I see a problem like this one.

While working I noticed that some macro components (blank spaces on the photo) inside another macro disappeared.

I can see and double-click on the connections and check/change with what input/output they are connected, but I can’t see the macro component itself or even click on the macro blank space there.

Please, do you have any suggestions on how to make them visible again?
