Dear Aly,

If you have 3D geometry in your SketchUp-File (imported from dwg/ifc/..), that is suited for TRNSYS (closed room volumes, like with ifc spaces), you can also copy this geometry into a Trnsys3d zone. For this you should best open a new SketchUp instance, there add an empty Trnsys zone and then with the zone activated copy the geometry from the other file into the new one (file -> past in place). That way the geometry becomes associated with the zone like if you drew new geometry with the zone activated. We are currently working on updating the Trnsys3d Tutorial including a better explanation on how this works.

Best regards,
Christina

Aly,

I believe that you have to trace over the *.dwg file using the same tools that you used when creating the model from scratch.

kind regards,

 David

Dear All,

I am trying to use the trnsys sketchup plug-in. I have imported my dwg files and I need to identify my zones, when I was learning about the plug-in I was drawing my buildings inside the zone created but now I have a building ready, how can I redraw them in the zone?
