Jen - I don't know of any published technical papers that compare other 
modeling tools to TRNSYS for solar absorption cooling. But TRNSYS, with 
it's extensive solar library, controls, chillers, and thermal storage 
models, is a great tool for studying these systems.  I've done several 
solar absorption projects and found the flexibility of TRNSYS to be 
extremely useful as we studied various configurations and control 
options.
