[TRNSYS-users] OUTPUT Transmission losses through windows

Hi Toni,

as the modelling in TRNSYS is more detailed than just a transmission based on a U-Value, there is no single NType for transmission. You can calculate the transmission losses from a zone through a surface (window/ opaque) by subtracting the surface's absorption from the total heat transfer from the zone to the surface

QTrans_Sx = QCOMI_Sx - QABSI_Sx (+ into zone, - from zone to outside)

with
NType 19 - QCOMI - energy from inside surf. incl. conv. to air and longwave radiation to other surfaces
NType 21 - QABSI - absorbed (or transmitted) at inside surf (includes solar gains, radiative heat, internal radiative gains and wallgains, except longwave radiation exchange with other walls) [kJ/hr]

Best regards,
Christina

Betreff: [TRNSYS-users] OUTPUT Transmission losses through windows

Hi all,

for a comparison between two tools I would need to split the total transmission losses in order to have the two contributes (i.e. transmission losses through opaques and windows). Is there an output / a way to have ONLY the transmission losses through windows?

Thanks in advance
