[TRNSYS-users] Thermal storage Tank

Type 4 has the ability to have two ports. Please take a moment and read the documentation for the model as it will explain how Type 4 works.

If you want a constant temperature source I would suggest using an auxiliary heater with an infinite heating capacity and a controlled outlet temperature of 70 C. Set up a flow loop from the bottom of the tank to a pump, then a pipe, then the heater, then another pipe and finally back to the top of the tank. Use a differential controller or aquastat to control the on/off operation of the pump.

There are splitters in the TESS Hydronics library that allow for splitters into N ports. If you don’t have access to the libraries then use multiple diverting valves or use equations.
