[TRNSYS-users] PROGRAMMING in transys

Rahma,

I’m just curious – what material/construction do you have in mind?
In general, you may do the following:

  * Write a new component (so-called Type) which models the heat transfer in the construction as you want.
  * Couple the Type to Type 56 as other construction models e.g. TRNSYS Nostandard Type 399 (finite difference approach).

However, as Jeff mentioned this isn’t an easy task.

 thank you for your response
I want to reprogram the heat transfer equations in the wall because they give non-exact results for certain new construction materials

Rahma,

I can’t honestly think of anything that would be harder to do in TRNSYS for a beginner - heck even an expert.

May I ask why you would want to re-work the algorithm that does the heat transfer in the walls?
