[TRNSYS-users] Type 557 (ground heat exchangers) problem

Jeff,
Thank you for your reply.
Actually as I said, we already purchased the entire TESS GHP library including Type 557.
I was interested to get the update that you mentioned and I thought that the updates are free, as we time by time receive new updates of the existing Types.
Do you mean we should still purchase this Type again ?

Regards,
Hamid

It is not a free give-away as we have invested significant development time to add features to the existing Type 557 model. If you are interested in purchasing the model before the TESS Library update, please contact us off-line and we can send you a quote.

>> As you found out, Type 557 only allows once instance of this type in a TRNSYS simulation. With several large projects requiring multiple borehole fields, we took quite a bit of time and re-worked Type 557 to allow multiple instances as well as add a few features; namely the ability to direct flow into and out of distinct radial regions in the field. This becomes important when you use the model with radial stratification and wish to explore creative charging and discharging options with the field. This new model will be featured in the new TESS GHP library when we release it for Version 18 in a few months - but we could make it available earlier if people are interested. Please e-mail us off the mailing list if you are interested in learning more.
