Chiara,
Type927's data file is normalized so that yes, you can use it as a
generic data file. It would advise that even if you do not have a
specific heat pump model or manufacturer in mind that you look online
and find an actual heat pump that is similar in capacity to the one that
you need to use. Use the rated values of heating and cooling capacity as
well as the COPs for heating and cooling from the real heat pump.
If you want a heat pump model like 927 but based on different
independent /variables /then yes, you would need to write a different
Type. If you just want to specify more or fewer /values /of Type927's
/variables /then you can adjust the data file and the Type927 parameters
accordingly.
