Dear Rodrigo,

if you use SketchUp and import the idf file using Simulation Studio 3d building Wizard, external surfaces are automatically being recognized and connected to the correct solar radiation by using TRNBuilds internal calculation of orientations.

Best
Jakob

Betreff: [TRNSYS-users] weather file coupling with surfaces

Hello,

When the 3D geometry is imported from Sketchup or CONTAM do I still need to manually couple each external surface with the corresponding total and beam solar radiation and the incidence angle from the weather file?

Thanks,
Rodrigo
