Dear Guiseppe,
currently, we work on a paper fort he BauSIM2016 in Germany and we would like to include a validation
of the DLT type acc. to SHC Task 34/ECBCS Annex 43 Project C (Empirical Validations of shading/daylighting/Load
interactions in Building Energy tools) . They offer detailed measured data of Illuminance in a room with different façade systems.
We are currently calculating the setup of experiment 1 south B (office room with an internal blind system).
The setup is pretty simple, but we don't have a good match between the calculated values by DLT and measured ones, unfortunately.
Maybe we did something wrong in the setup of the Type and any help from your side is highly appreciated.
The paper is due on Thursday, 14 th.
Are you available for a short call?
Do you know this test suite? Have you done this validation procedure already?
Thanks a lot,
Marion Hiller

Betreff: [TRNSYS-users] Climate-based daylighting simulation within TRNSYS
Dear colleagues,
The Institute for Renewable Energy<http://www.eurac.edu/en/research/technologies/renewableenergy/Pages/default.aspx> of EURAC research is pleased to announce the first release of the 'TypeDLT', a new TRNSYS component that enables climate-based daylighting simulation. This software uses the Three-Phase Method of Radiance to help you analyse the effects of 'Complex Fenestration Systems' from the perspective of visual comfort and daylight availability. Additionally, it gives you the opportunity to develop custom control strategies for dynamic shading devices. Its integration in the TRNSYS environment allows for the dynamic simulation of both daylight and thermal performances of buildings and their interaction. The tool has been presented at the 13th International Radiance Workshop in London.
Developed within the FP7 EU 'CommONEnergy<http://www.commonenergyproject.eu/>' project, the TypeDLT software is open source, allowing anyone to use it and to contribute to its development. The code with the documentation and an example file are available at the GitHub repository https://github.com/EURAC-EEBgroup/TypeDLT-for-TRNSYS .
Best regards,
Giuseppe De Michele
