Hi,
I have used Type 581a for precisely this application. It is not a heat pump model but a generic multi-dimensional performance map reader with up to 4 independent variables. You would of course need data for the real heat pump at different speeds and temperatures, but as long as you have that it should work just fine.
Best regards,

Subject: [TRNSYS-users] Variable speed heat pump
Dear Guys,
Has anyone here know what type of module can I use in TRNSYS 17.1 to simulate a variable speed compressor heat pump?
I was trying to figure out a simulation for Air to Water heat pump by using Type 917 and 941 (with and with out humidity effects) however, is there anyway to simulate a variable speed air to water heat pump?
Thanks
Safwan
