Hey everybody,

I'm designing my own hybrid pv system, but the thermal side of the story I
come across some problems

I had a question yeah I want to understand the total model sorry for the
many questions. I was looking into component type563 to usefull gain and it
is a bit strange because it looks like you need a minimum PV power to get
some energy gain. Because below 990 kj/hr there is no usefull gain and then
suddenly above this 990 kj/hr you have 4560 kj/hr. My panel is 4 by 5 but
how can you explain this. Another thing in the summer there is no direct
sunlight on the panels because it are facades and the sun in Hong Kong is
high in the summer. According to the model there is then also no PV power,
but there is still diffuse radiance on the panel and this will heat the
panel also up so why no PV Power.

I decided to look also into other components so I choose the Type50b and
compared the output with type563 but they give different outputs I assured
the size of the panels is the same but the output of 50b is much higher than
of typ563 in type50b you can choose more parameters then in type563 but I al
kept them standard. Also when I try to calculate the efficiency it does not
make sence

I looked into the working of controller 2b with their dead bands and looked
up the working in the mathematical reference but I checked with logged data
and the controller is not working like the formulas make you expect to do.
The controller goes for example already on even the difference is lower than
the upper band length or goes off when the temperature difference is still
bigger than 2 and this should not be happening according to the calculations

I hope to hear from you soon. Thanks in advance.

Best regards,

Benjamin Stobbe
