[TRNSYS-users] PV inverter 194b

Hello David and TRNSYS users,



Thanks David!   I will try the alternative tool as well. The run time issue has been solved now, I asked from campus IT help department and they have fixed it. Some kind of administrative permission was required according to their statement.



Now, I am able to plug in the pv parameters by clicking the magic wand icon in the left lower corner of the parameters tab of (type 194b). also, it calculates all five parameters without any error. Next, after exiting the EES window and when I run it in simulation studio;  it gives following error.



 "type 194 TRNSYS Message    133 : The current Unit has specified more Parameters than are expected.  Reported information  : 24 PARAMETERS are required and 29 PARAMETERS were specified. "



how can I tackle this issue.

Sandeep,
  My apologies for the delay in responding. Some users have experienced problems using the plugin on certain operating systems and while I have not seen the error that you mention it could be the same problem. I will send you a link to an alternative tool for generating the Type194 parameters. You will need to run the tool seperately and then manually enter the values that it generates but I have found it to be much more reliable than the plugin.

Sotiris,
   When you choose a PV from the list, all of the fields should still
show "?????" until you click on the "calculate" button in the
"calculations" section of the plugin. When you manually enter
parameters, the same is true; the fields at the bottom for the 5
reference parameters should all show "?????" until you choose
"calculate". The plugin transfers the computed results back to the
proforma if it was able to obtain a good solution once you select "Exit"
from the File menu. If the plugin did not solve to within tolerances, it
will show you its best guess of the answers but it will not transfer the
values back to the plugin automatically. You can transfer them manually
if you need to.

   If you are having trouble with a particular PV module, please send me
the input data. I may be able to generate the parameters for you using a
different tool.
