Hi Giordani,

You can start with the Solar Hot Water system, available from the new project menu. This tank has no heat exchangers available. You can replace the tank with a different type, by right clicking on the tank – select replace.

Select: C:\TRNSYS17\Studio\Proformas\Thermal Storage\Detailed Fluid Storage Tank\Vertical Cylinder\Uniform Losses and Node Heights\2 Inlets, 2 Outlets\Type60c.tmf, depending on the exact type of your tank.

Study the original model to see how to reconnect the inputs/outputs. If the model has quite similar input/output names, the connections will be preserved, unfortunately not in this case.

You can select how many heat exchangers this tank has from the parameter window (parameter 30).

Edit the Load Profile forcing function to set the times of your water draw.

Kind regards,

Subject: [TRNSYS-users] Tank with heat exchanger and volume control.

Hello,

I'm trying to make my first simulation with the TRNSYS and I would like your help please:

How to simulate a tank with an internal heat exchanger (similar to the type 60l) but with a control of fluid volume along the day (350 liters from 08h to 16h and zero liter from 08h to 16h)?

Thank you.
