Ayesha,
The literature I have seen suggests that humidity capacitance
multipliers typically range from about 5 to 15. The value is a
multiplier on the humidity capacitance of the air in the zone. If you
have set a value of 5 then you're telling Type56 that the zone can
absorb 5 times as much moisture as can be absorbed by the air in the
zone. If you increase the value then your zone's humidity ratio will
change more slowly. The humidity ratio will not necessarily increase
overall. If you are concerned about the humidity level then check to
make sure that you are applying a reasonable amount of outdoor air
ventilation to your zones and also make sure that you have accounted for
latent energy gains in the zone not only from people but from other
sources as well.
kind regards,
David
