Sander,
TRNSYS can read various predefined weather data files such as TMY2,
TMY3 and EnergyPlus. If you have your own data in a text file format,
you can read it with Type9 so long as each line of the data file
corresponds to an equal increment of time (for example you could read
hourly records or 5-minute records but you could not read a file that
had a mixture of hourly and 5 minute time intervals). Once you have read
the data with Type9 then you can do the solar radiation processing
(computing the amount of solar that falls on an arbitrary surface) using
Type16. There are example of how to do this in the
..\TrnsysXX\Examples\Reading Data Files\ directory.
