[TRNSYS-users] Energy balance per zone_NTYPE 904

Dear all,

Good Day!

I have some questions for Energy balance per zone_NTYPE 904:

1) I checked the TRNSYS 16_Volume 6 (Documentation) for Energy balance per
zone_NTYPE 904. Its equation is
Zonenr Rel_BAL BAL_ENERGY= -DQAIRdt +QHEAT -QCOOL +QINF
+QVENT +QCOUPL +QTRANS +QGAININT +QWGAIN +QSOLGAIN

But, I checked the Summary file for output, the equation becomes
Zonenr Rel_BAL BAL_ENERGY= -DQAIRdt +QHEAT -QCOOL +QINF
+QVENT +QCOUPL -QTRANS +QGAININT +QWGAIN +QSOLGAIN

In addition, the Energy_Zone file for output shows
Zonenr Rel_BAL BAL_ENERGY= -DQAIRdt +QHEAT -QCOOL +QINF
+QVENT +QCOUPL +QTRANS +QGAININT +QWGAIN +QSOLGAIN

Therefore, I am confused by the aforementioned equation-defination for
Energy balance per zone_NTYPE 904.

2) For the TRNSYS 16_Volume 6 (Documentation) for Energy balance per
zone_NTYPE 904, QTRANS's defination is Transmission into the wall from
inner surface node (might be stored in the wall, going to a slab cooling or
directly thansmitted). Therefore, e.g. in winter indoor temperature is
higher than outdoor, QTRANS should be positive value (+), but, the file of
Energy_Zone shows QTRANS all over the year is Negative (-), although indoor
temperature is higher than outdoor in winter.
Thus, I think the equation should be Zonenr Rel_BAL BAL_ENERGY= -DQAIRdt
+QHEAT -QCOOL +QINF +QVENT +QCOUPL -IQTRANSI +QGAININT
+QWGAIN +QSOLGAIN

3) I calculated energy demand Qheat, Qcool, Qinfiltration, Qvent, Qintgain
and Qsolar using Matlab (sum of 8760 hours' each values; sim. time step is
0.1h) based on the Energy_Zone (NTYPE 904) file for output. But the
calculated resultes are completely different from the results of
T56_std-Output file. Only Qinfiltration is the same almost between each
other. Please see the following (Unit is kWh):

                                           Qheat Qcool Qinfiltration
Qvent QintGain Qsolar
Energy_Zone (NTYPE 904)file 985.94 19.83 107.25 2109.61 2946
2553

T56_std-Output file 295.4 22.68 107.2 1920
2494 1933

Could you expain this problem?
I guess that it is casued by the peak load of heating, ventilation for
Qheat and Qvent. If so, how to solve this problem?

But for QintGain, Qsolar and Qcool, How to expain the above problems?

Many thanks in advance!

Br.

yang wang
