Dear Group,
Are there any unspoken rules when using this type (type 23)? I have found
the following make it hang or not respond properly:
1) giving the controller a zero
2) limiting the min max by relatively small numbers (capping the peaks and
dips of the natural cycling killed this object for me)
3) inputing a large gain
4) too small a I-time input
This type is really sensitive to the timestep...I'm having to use really
small timesteps to get the "tuning" just right. I have tried various tuning
techniques suggested on this forum as well as industry known techneques.
With x2 controllers, I abandoned the I-D control altogether, as it just
wasn't having it and resorted to a pure P-control by setting the I&D inputs
to zero. Even then, it gives problems and is highly sensitive.
Regards,
Jean
