Nicholas,
Regarding the first error message, it is a problem of unmatching surfaces.
When you drew your different thermal zones with the Trnsys3d wizard in
SketchUp you probably used at the end the surface matching button.
This button calls for a function which scans all the surfaces included in
your project and affects a construction type (for instance ground floor,
ext_wall, adj_wall, …). In case of adjacent walls the outside boundary
condition (you can see this property in Trnsys3d > Object info when right
clicking on a surface) must be “zone”, and the Outside boundary object must
be another zone name. The surface matching button works pretty well as long
as surfaces match exactly. But when one wall of zone A is simultaneously
adjacent to one wall of zones B and C then you have to manually split the
wall of zone A into two walls respectively adjacent only to zone B and only
to zone C. Otherwise the adjacent wall won’t be automatically addressed
when using the surface matching button. That is probably what happened in
your project.
You must then re-open your *.idf file in SketchUp and check all surfaces of
zones reported in the error message with the object info window to see if
an adjacent surface is defined for each surface of the zones. This is
probably not the case.
I would say the second error message might be a logical consequence of the
first one.
I can't properly read the third one (the resolution is too low) but if you
fix the first problem it might also fixed also the last one…?
Regards,
Damien Gondre.
