[TRNSYS-users] limit on type 557 boreholes/storage volume?

Hello all,

 

I am working on a geothermal field model for a relatively large project – attempting to determine total cooling that can be derived from a given land area by making changes to well depth, etc.

 

However, when I increase my storage volume (para 1) in the Type 557 (values ranging between 60 acres at 400’ depth to 100 acres at 600’ depth), I am getting range errors (with no other details in the LST file, even with debugging mode activated) for anything greater than about 5 acres of land area.

 

Has anyone run into issues with this type before?  Do you know if it has limitations on geothermal field size?
