[TRNSYS-users] Airnodes / zones

Dear all,

When you have two zones with each one air node and some of the common surfaces between the two zones is introduced as "virtual surface" (The other part as a layer with only a thermal resistance (suspended ceiling)), does Trnsys takes into account the temperature distribution automatically or do the two air nodes have to belong to the same zone? Because it isn't possible to couple the airnodes when they belong to different zones.

Otherwise, in this case it isn't to combine the air nodes in one simple zone, because the two zones have adjacent walls (= suspended ceiling).

To be more clear I've added a sketch in attachment. I just want to simulate a suspended ceiling (+- 70% of the room) and to see what the effect of this is on the inertia of the concrete ceiling.

Can anybody please help me?

Greetings,
