[TRNSYS-users] Error: generating shading/insolation matrix

Dear Matt,


I didn’t have any problems with the importations of the IDF file in Trnsys. I also checked the geometry mode and this is set to 3D data.
There is no relevant information in the log file.

The shading is composed of horizontal lamellas, like the picture below shows; so all small extended rectangles.

I deleted them all, except one, but I still get the same error message then.

I am not really sure why this is happening, but I will contribute my thoughts. Was there any relevant information in the ism log file? Were you able to import your IDF file without problems? You have 3D geometry mode?

I’m using Trnsys17 3d for the first time, but I’ve some problems with introducing a shading building.
When I want to generate the shading/insolation matrix I get the following error:
