Christian,
Interesting case. I don't think that Type460 is the right place to 
start. For one, as you point out, it assumes the flow is in only one 
direction along all of the parallel paths. Second, there isn't a way of 
defining that the "earth" between the two ducts contains a PCM. You 
might actually have better luck using a series of zones in Type56 to 
mimic the duct (one or two long, narrow zones in series going out and 
another one or two coming back. You might then be able to employ the PCM 
wall that is available in the TRNLib for the wall separating the zones. 
Be aware that the thermal zones in Type56 assume a natural convection 
coefficient on the inside surfaces so you would definitely want to set 
the inside convection coefficient to an input and then use a forced 
convection correlation to calculate the value.
