[TRNSYS-users] TMY2 weather files

Hi,

 I would like to know more about the .TMY2 weather files. When opening them in a text editor, they look pretty unreadable.
 Maybe this is normal ? Is this a closed format ?

 I cannot find documentation describing the format. For example, I wonder what the timestep is.
