Dear Stefano,

 

one option is to place an “active layer” in the middle of your wall and
set the mass flow to 0. 

Internally this will split your wall into two pieces.

Dear all,

 

I need to simulate the behavior of a building with big thermal mass (old
church, circa 90 cm stone wall).

 

Unfortunately, this condition does not fulfill the stability criteria.

Which is the best way to simulate this case? Would it make sense to
create another adjacent thermal zone with no air mass capacitance and
with the external wall as half of the massive original wall?
