[TRNSYS-users] air-to-water heat pump with infinitely variable compressor control

Dear TRNSYS users,

I'm looking for an air-to-water-heat pump type, which allows an infinitely variable control of its compression power, for TRNSYS 16 or 17.

As far as I know, the only type, which comes into consideration is type 372, one of the TRANSSOLAR non-standard types.

Unfortunately, up to now, my institution is exclusively working with the TESS libraries, and we have so far no access to this type 372.

Thus, in order to avoid unnecessary expenses, my questions are:

1. Is there really no type in the TESS libraries for modeling such an air-to-water heat pump with infinitely variable compressor control?

2. If there is really not such type available, do you have an idea how to simulate such a heat pump with one of the single-stage heat pump types existing in the TESS libraries?

3. Is it possible with type 372 to define ranges for the infinitely variable control (100% to 40% of total capacity) and an oscillating control (below 40% total capacity).

Thanks in advance for your help.

Kind regards,

Johannes
