[TRNSYS-users] Set 2 or more than 2 AIRNODES

Dear Wang,

@ advantages of multi-airnode zones:
Please refer to the 3D Building Tutorial, p.20: multiple airnodes are combined to one radiative zone (i.e. radiation through a window of the topmost airnode is not trapped there but also reaches the airnodes/walls below) whereas each airnode remains an own convective zone. Thus, thermal stratification, e.g. in an atrium, can be modelled.

@ definition of a multi-airnode zone: in your 3D-model you have to define the adjacent walls between the zones that afterwards shall be combined to one zone as "virtual surface", they are not imported into TRNBuild (see explanation in the 3D Building Tutorial, p.15).
After importing in TRNBuild, you have to move the airnodes into one zone as follows:
1. open the Zone-Window for the airnode to be moved
2. click the button with the bent arrow right below the name of the zone (see attatched screenshot) and a window named "move active airnode" will open
3. choose the target zone, click ok

You will notice that there appears a new button in the zone window named coupling (also see attatched screenshot). As there is no adjacent wall between the airnodes in the zone, this is the way coupling can be defined for airnodes in a multi-airnode zone.

Best regards,
Angela
