[TRNSYS-users] Importing into Matlab/Simulink and Using "callingmatlab.tpf" tuorial

Martin, Matt,

The ‘Export to SIMULINK’ function is now part of Trnsys 17: simply add a type to an empty project, right-click on it and choose “Export to SIMULINK”.
This creates a MATLAB/SIMULINK file containing the type as a DLL. The time step and solver are set in MATLAB as usual.

The export function for Trnsys 16 was experimental and is no longer supported.

Werner

Dear Martin,

The TRNSYS Developers from CSTB in France developed a way to import the TRNSYS Type into Matlab/Simulink for TRNSYS version 17. If I am not mistaken, according to our records, you are still using v 16.1? I do have a Type155.dll that should work for that version that I can send you in an ensuing email.

Best regards,

Matt Duffy

To Whom It May Concern:

I am new to TRNSYS 16, and I have the following queries.

  1. Is it possible to im! port Type 60 into Matlab/Simulink as I want to simulate control?
Does TRNSYS tell Matlab the time step used in TRNSYS? Does it use an .dll or .m file?

2. I have Matlab 2007a and am looking to use Type 155. From the tutorial I have run “calling matlab.tpf”

However I am getting the following errors:

A TYPE was called in the TRNSYS input file but was either not linked into trndll.dll or was not found in an external dll. A dummy subroutine was called in its place. Please link the TYPE or remove it from the input file Reported information : Type 155 was not found. Please make sure that Type155.dll is in the 'Userlib' folder

Comments on the above

Item 15: I am not sure if TRNSYS 16 supports Matlab 7.5.0 2007a, please advise.

Item 15: To the best of my knowledge the Matlab’s “bin\win32” folder is on Window’s search path, but would like to be sure, so can you please advise.

Item 16: Type155.dll is

in the ‘Userlib’ folder.

I would really appreciate if you could help me on this.
