[TRNSYS-users] digging into trnflow convergence problems

You could try even smaller time-steps, I've models with timestep: 0,03125 (n=5), 0,015625 (n=6) and even 0.0078125 (n=7). It just takes a while before it's finished calculating.

Kind regards,

Mariëlle

Thanks Mariëlle,

I have unsuccessfully tried several timesteps, from 0.0125 of an hour, to 0,1 and even one hour, which are obviously too large. The only way I can get the simulation finished is to input very large limit velues for warning and errors...

I am curious about this thing with interior and exterior temperatures, and was wondering if some conclusions about stack performance could be extracted from this...

Thanks,

Maybe you have already tried it, but you can make your simulation time step smaller (in steps of 1/(2^n))

Kind regards,

Mariëlle

Dear all:

I am working on a trnflow simulation (an apartment with passive stack exhausts), and having some convergence problems. After looking at it I have found these problems occur whenever the outside temperature gets significantly higher than the interior temperature, as you can see in the attached image. Any suggestion on how to deal with this?

Thanks,
