[TRNSYS-users] Maximum number of equations

Dear David,

Thank you for this answer. If it is the number of operators that is causing the problem, that is possible : I deleted some equations by combining then with other ones (so making other equations larger).
The reason for the large number of equations/operators is that the postprocessing of the results is done within the simulation run.

Is there a reason for this limitation?

I solved the problem now by eleminating some of the equations.
Many thanks for the info!

Maarten

Maarten,
The error message suggests that it isn't the number of equations that is the problem but the number of operators in your equations that is limiting you. I've never run into this before! It is strange that the model was working previously and having deleted some equations does not anymore; I suspect that it might be a bad error message due to some other problem and would recommend that you send your input file to your distributor for them to have a look.
Best,
 David

Dear all,

In a 20 zone Trnsys/trnbuild-building model I use 350 equations to process the results within the simulation run. Although this is still below the limit of 500 (is this correct, cfr Programmer's Guide chapter 8?)
I get an error 24 : "The size of the array which holds the operation codes for EQUATIONS and ... has been exceeded. Try reducing ...".
The strange thing is that the model worked, then I deleted some of the equations and suddenly this error comes up.
I'm working with Trnsys 16.

Any suggestions?

Regards,
Maarten Sourbron
