Héloïse,

To control the operative temperature, I use the Type 23, PID Controller
(mode 1) and the control signal is linked to the set zones’ temperatures in
Type56.

I minimize the interval of the control signal (input 4 and 5; i.e. [19;21])
to make the simulation more stable.

Results are not perfects but interesting. These kinds of model permit to
measure the real impact of the reduction in temperature during inoccupation
periods.

Objet : [TRNSYS-users] Top control in the Type 56

Dear TRNSYS users,

The Type 56 uses a control on the air temperature « TAIR » to compute the
sensible heat demand of each thermal zones.

This temperature does not include the surface temperature and doesn’t fully
describe the temperature actually felt by the human, body.

Is there a way to control the operative temperature, rather than on the air
temperature, in type 56 ?

I thought about using Type 22 but the simulation seems rather unstable with
more than on Type 22, and I would like to be able to control the operative
temperature in each thermal zones.

Thanks for your help !

Best regards,

Héloïse Pelen
