Chen Shuai,
  I believe that "segments" in this case refers to the TRNBuild / Type56 
autosegmentation feature. When you have an active layer whose specific 
flow rate is low (below 13kg/h.m2) you cannot treat the entire floor as 
a single entity but you have to break it up into a series of segments 
that are all in series (one feeds into the next). This is all done 
automatically for you in TRNBuild; specify the specific flow rate that 
you want to use in your floor and then press the "do" autosegmentation 
button. The floor will be broken up into as many segments as needed in 
order to achieve your flow rate.
