[TRNSYS-users] Visual Fortran run-time error (severe 601: file already exists)

Hi all,

I replaced a Type 109 TMY2 weather file reader with the Type 15-3 EPW
reader and now (after fixing all connections) I'm getting the
following message box error:

Visual Fortran run-time error
forrtl: severe (601): file already exists
Image              PC             Routine   Line        Source
DFORRT.DLL   01B04C49  Unknown Unknown Unknown

According to the Visual Fortran documentation, this means:
"An OPEN statement specified STATUS='NEW' for a file that already exists."

I have tried multiple EPW files. The error does not occur if I use the
Type 15-2 TMY2 reader. The Type works fine in a blank project,
independent of the rest of my project.

Any suggestions? I can send the .dck file.

Alternatively, if anyone knows how to convert a weather file from EPW,
DOE-2 BIN, or TXT/FT, to TMY2, or to any other format that TRNSYS can
read, that would fix my problem.
