Sek,
There is a feature in TRNBuild that allows you to have Type56
automatically calculate a natural convection heat transfer coefficient
for interior floors, walls, and ceilings. You select this option when
you are defining the wall and its layers. The assumption is that
external surfaces (surfaces on the outside of the building) are governed
by forced convection, not natural convection and so if Type56 encounters
an outside surface that has the "internal calculation" option selected
for the convective heat transfer coefficient calculation method, it
generates an error. What you need to do is look for surface 5 in your
building (the surface number is displayed next to the "geosurf" field
for each wall in the zone view), then check what wall type has been
selected for that surface, and make sure that the "back side" convective
heat transfer coefficient is set to "user defined" and not to "internal
calculation"
Best,
 David
