[TRNSYS-users] Type 56 and Ntype19

Hi TRNSYS Users,
I have a couple of questions on Ntype 19. What is its unit?
My second question arises from a problem: assume I have a surface with 
an active layer which calls for the autesegmentation and assume  that 
surface  is divided into 3 smaller surfaces.
Assume q1, q2  and q3 are the fluxes associated  to each of the  smaller 
surfaces.  Which of the following formulae apply for calculating the 
total flux from the original surface:
1) (q1 + q2 + q3) / 3
2) q1 + q2 + q3
Any suggestion will be appreciated,
