Hi there

Yes it is standard practise to input the weighted average thermal properties
when you have different layers.

Subject: [TRNSYS-users] Parameters for Type557a

Hello, everyone.

I try to use Type557a to simulate the performance of borehole ground heat
exchangers in a multi-layer ground. However, I don't know what values I
should use for the store thermal conductivity and volumetric heat capacity
(Parameters

9 & 10). Should I input the average values of all the ground layers? It
seems that these two parameters influence the outlet fluid temperature
substantially.

Please advise. Thank you!

Best Regards

LEE, Chun Kwong
