Hi Fred,

May not be the case but sometimes it happens when I move files from one
folder to the other. Some components that are linked to external data
files may try to look to wrong paths. This is the case of the type 534
(storage tank) or even the weather file. I suggest taking a look at the
other components in your simulation and checking the "External files" tab,
looking for the content in the files. Some times the path is even correct
but may be a blank file.

Not sure if it is your case but hope it helps

Lucas Lira

[TRNSYS-users] Simulation Start Time Error
I get the following error:
Unable to correctly read from the supplied data file – check the file and
re-run the simulation.

The only hourly data file is the weather file.

I have never had trouble starting from any hour in the year in the past.

I opened another file and it worked just fine. I also tried changing
weather files with no success.

Is there a setting I have inadvertently changed for this simulation?

Fred

[TRNSYS-users] problem using type538
Hello,
I have two questions for using type538.
(1) 2 type538 connected in parallel, and their inputs and parameters are
identical. But why their Outputs are not the same.
(2) The document for detailsed mathematical description of type538 is not
available, how could I get it?
Thanks,
DaiJianguo

Re: [TRNSYS-users] Simulation Start Time Error
Maybe it is not the weather file. I have already had problems with types
that read from external files. When I wanted to run the simulation
suddenly the external file was empty. (and I think I got the same error)
Check the logical unit number in the error message to find out which file
it could be.

I hope that helps.
