[TRNSYS-users] TRNSED and building simulation

Dear Jochen,

I am fairly certain that those are hard-coded in the bui file. Another
option is to creat multiple *.bui files (i.e. building with low
insulation, medium insulation, and high, etc.). Make multiple ASSIGN
statements with different logical unit numbers (LU) for each different
*.bui, and then use the radio button feature of TRNEDIT for the user to
select the appropriate building. In the TRNEDIT code for that particular
radio button selection, it will be assigning the respective logical unit
number for the *.bui.

You can also do schedules in the *.dck (or even in the Simulation Studio).
Have you ever seen the SDHW TRNSED application that my colleague did for
NREL (ref. http://www.tess-inc.com/projects/type#software)? He allowed the
user to select different water draw profiles (or different schedules) via
the radio buttons.

Best regards,

Matt Duffy

Dear TRNSYS users,

Is there any possibility to change parameters of a *.bui file using the
TRNSED form?
I would - for example - like to alter the schedules or the wall
construction properties.

Any help would be very much appreciated.

Best regards,
Jochen
