Dear Stefania Agosta,
You are using Type534 (Vertical) or Type533 (Horizontal)?
Did you try the provided example, "Type 533-534.tpf", in the following
directory.
.\Tess Models\Studio Projects\Storage Tank Library
Unfortunately, dragging and dropping the Type534 tank does not work
because the external data file written by the plugin does not comply with
the listed parameters of the proforma. Thus, to solve that, simply change
in the proforma (not the plugin) the number of "immersed HXers" to 0 and
the "number of ports" to 1. That will comply with the data file and be
able to simulate.
The advice that i give when using Type534 external data files is to copy
and paste the proveded, example data file, Example_534.dat, and rename it
something clever, "project_tank.dat". Then, I reference the new file,
"project_tank.dat" in the External Files tab of the proforma, and it seems
to work when opening the plugin.
Best regards,
Matt Duffy

Subject:[TRNSYS-users] Type 533
Hallo,
I am trying to use type 533 (TESS Vertical TS tank) and I had to manage
with different problems:
1.
The default Type (the one you select from the direct access) seems to
contain 2 energy balance errors: try to click on the INFORMATION button of
the Type, then VARIABLES, then ALL: you can see
Parameter 30: Tank energy balance error
Parameter 38: HX energy balance error
(the input file is: .\Tess Models\PlugIns\Example_534.dat )
It happens that probably these errors generate an error while trying to
run the simulation.
2.
Changing some parameters of the plugin data, this message appears:
"Problem writing the output data, please check the entered file name".
3.
So I tryed to rename and relocate this input file in the same directory of
the studio file, I select this new file from the EXTERNAL FILE tab, but
then the program gives me three error messages when I try to open the
plugin:
"not able to find the data file input: please reselect the file using the
browse button"+"entered value greater than maximum"+"runtime error:
invalid property value"
Could someone give me some advice on how to manage this type 533. I found
out that others had some problem dealing with it but I could not find any
solution to my problems.
Best regards
