[TRNSYS-users] Simulation of solar cooling system with solar collectors mounted on external wall

The part of the wall that has the window needs to be defined as an
EXTERNAL wall. The part of the wall that has the solar collectors on it
is a BOUNDARY wall. As for the solar collectors themselves, there aren't
any such models in the standard library. The model to which I was
referring is Type563, a building integrated PVT (photovoltaics and
thermal) collector. You'll need to review the mathematical description
carefully in order to do it correctly but if you set the parameters so
that the PV efficiency is 0, the device is simply a thermal building
integrated collector that calculates the back-side surface temperature
that needs to be passed to the BOUNDARY wall.
Kind regards,
David
